Using a dark or black material as a base, these works focus on how the light catches the subject. The black of the canvas allows for deeper shadow and more dramatic renderings. These are usually done from photos where the lighting provides a good contrast. Given the nature of the medium these works are best on a scale of A3 or larger. Prices start at £250.
